New Year’s Resolutions For Cats

January 01, 2020

Happy New Year! Actually, the kitty new year starts tomorrow: January 2nd is Mew Year’s Day. While we will leave predictions about 2020’s major events to others, we can make a few educated guesses about what our feline pals will be up to this year. Read on as a Spring Valley, CA vet lists some New Year’s resolutions for cats.

Get A Tan

Kitties can’t really get suntans, although their fur may lighten up if they spend a lot of time in the sun. However, apparently Fluffy never got that memo. Your furry little diva will spend plenty of time sunbathing and recharging her catteries over the next twelve months.

Entertain Us

If there’s one thing we can always rely on Fluffy for, it’s keeping us amused. There’s just no end to the ways these adorable little furballs entertain us! It’s probably safe to say that your kitty will make you chuckle at least once in the coming year.

Proper Fur Distribution

Fluffy has very pretty fur, and she thoughtfully tries to share it with us. Your feline friend may want to be more precise with her fur distribution this year, and get all the spots she missed in 2019.

Improve Flexibility

Kitties are very flexible, and somehow manage to sleep in positions we usually associate with knots and pretzels. Fluffy may try to level up with her stretching routine in 2020. Or, she may experiment with new sleeping positions.

Keep Up With Chores

Fluffy is well aware of her official kitty responsibilities. This includes things like helping with changing the sheets, wrapping gifts, and knocking things off tables. She’ll also lend a helping paw whenever you pack suitcases or boxes.

Supervise The Humans

Cats get very attached to their owners. They also like to show their affection by, well, stalking us. Some kitties don’t like to let their humans out of their sight. Fluffy may want to keep a closer eye on you this year. She may even follow you into the bathroom!

Help The Human Relax

Anyone who has ever snuggled up with an affectionate cat can tell you that there is something very relaxing about Fluffy’s soothing purr. Your cute pet may want more cuddle time this year!
